Did you know!

I thought that the movie said a lot about how the United States compares to the other countries! According to most of the video and the statistics we rather stay on the internet all day chatting on Myspace or Facebook than to stick our heads in a textbook. One of the slides said that one country had more scholars than the United States has people!

The video is basically telling us that we have way too many distraction in the U.S that are hendering us from more education. That's probably why we are in so much debt now. We have to get more educated in what's going on in the world.

  1. OK. You have caught up. But this 4 items should be in a single post. Copy and paste all the other comments into THIS post. Then delete the posts above. It saves us about 4 hours if students put their reflections into one post. Please do this as soon as possible.

What country has more scholars than the USA has people? Don't get taken in by the statistics. See the new assignment on the Class Blog. We have too many distractions. Or we are not investing enough energy into using technology, the new communication tools, and the access to information that the internet provides to improve our schools? The latter I would argue.

If you like Vicki and her classroom techniques then you should like EDM310. We try to approach learning the same way.

Do you think education and creativity are not connected? related? I don't quite follow your argument.

So teachers are better than computers? Why do we have to think of them as either/ors?

Stay caught up! Don't get behind again.
